Ne soyez pas surprise de ne pas voir The Arcade Fire dans notre top de l’année 2004. “Funeral” figurait deja dans notre selection de l’année derniere. En 2005 les deux grands gagnants sont Bloc Party et le LCD Soundsystem de James Murphy. Le rock a par ailleurs connu une année faste avec l’hallucinant “For Screening Purposes Only” des Test-Icicles, l’album éponyme des Dead 60’s, le puissant “Now Wow” du duo The Kills … L’electronique n’a pas été en reste avec le survitaminé “Nite Versions” de Soulwax, la bombe “The Light At The End Of The Tunnel Is A Train” de Whitey, l’explosif “OK Cowboy” de notre français Vitalic …
L’année 2006 s’annonce mouvementée avec la sortie du premier album de Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Artic Monkeys, du troisieme opus des Strokes (First Impressions Of Earth), et plus tard des retours attendus de Radiohead, Muse, Placebo et Massive Attack.
